Sustainable Development

Sustainable development at Health Campus Turku means health promotion by research, education and innovations. The member organizations of HCT seek for ways to protect our environment and mitigate climate change through developing their own processes and functions.

Many ongoing HCT collaboration projects promote healthcare digitalization and health data utilization that can decrease trafficking and inefficiencies in health services and increase healthcare value creation for the patient. We also seek better understanding of health care carbon footprint and examine methods to promote circular economy.

More than 200 laboratory workers and students in bioanalytics all around Finland have participated our webinar ”Sustainable development in laboratories” in May 2021 and January 2022.

Our ecosystem members have their own sustainable development programs.
